Spring is finally here, and we’re kicking it off the right way—with FREE food, friendly faces, and a whole lot of community spirit.
Join us for The BigStuff MayDay Kickoff Cookout, a laid-back, family-friendly event hosted by Mr. BigStuff Labor and Moving to celebrate the start of spring and support local businesses and neighbors.
What to expect:• Free hamburgers, potato salad, chips, and drinks
• Local businesses on-site with booths and giveaways
• Raffle prizes (enter to win!)
• Pet-friendly area with treats and water for dogs

• Kids zone with face painting and themed coloring sheets

• Music, smiles, and good spring vibes
This is not a sales pitch—just a chance to enjoy a free lunch, meet great local people, and kick off the season together.

Ages 13+Learn adult and pediatric CPR, automated external defibrillator (AED), emergency procedures like rescue breathing, and the Heimlich maneuver, and first aid. Upon workshop completion, students receive a course completion card in Adult and Pediatric CPR with AED and first aid. Class is blended learning online part is sent after registration for class. Registration required, class size limited. This class is not appropriate for those needing training for a healthcare field (doctors, dentists, nurses, EMS, etc.).

AdultsAdults, college students and healthcare professionals-- get you Red Cross BLS certification! BLS is the foundation of resuscitation training for healthcare professionals. The BLS program content includes both single-responder and multiple-responder scenarios and AED use, as well as how to care for a patient who has an obstructed airway. Skills include high-quality CPR and AED use, obstructed airway and BLS team response. Upon workshop completion, students receive a course completion card in Red Cross Basic Life Support. Registration required, class size limited.

WacoustaKids can trim their bikes and ride in the Wacousta Memorial Day Community Parade on Saturday May 23! We’ll provide red, white and blue patriotic trims (while supplies last) for families to decorate kid’s bikes, wagons, strollers or scooters, and a spot to ride in the parade as we honor & remember with gratitude all those who serve and served our country. Please Note: Decorating 10am - 10:45am, parade starts promptly at 11am. All ages with adult assistance.
