Meet at GLADL Tuesdays at 11 am and follow the little red wagon to the Trinity Episcopal Church playground for a family storytime filled with stories, songs, activities and a snack! An outdoor, sunshiney, playdate summer story-time for children (and their caregivers) too! Open to children of all ages. Families may bring chairs, a picnic blanket, and a lunch or snack. Rain location: 1931 Room – Stories to be told rain or shine!

Meet at our NEW Wacousta branch location (in the old elementary school, near the playground) to enjoy fun and stories at an outdoor family storytime filled with different themed activities: music, bubbles, water play—and time for play with your Storytime friends too! Stories, songs, and literacy enhancing activities-- reading/talking about stories; singing; learning rhymes and finger plays as we build fine and gross motor skills, plus exposure to the conventions and structure of language! Oh-- We'll have fun too!

For families with children of all ages. Families may bring chairs, a picnic lunch too. Will relocate inside if poor weather

A great place for farmers and artisans to sell their products directly to the community as well as food truck vendors who can provide tasty local foods.

The market is intended to foster local economic development and encourage business in Grand Ledge. The markets purpose is to also bring local produce and other locally produced goods to the people of Grand Ledge. Items include fresh local produce, homemade baked goods, handcrafted products, plants, honey, maple syrup, smoked fish, flowers, and other locally produced goods.

Throughout the summer, we will also have entertainment on the Rotary Club stage during the market and food trucks.

Join us for a movement storytime featuring yoga style poses and breathing exercises! We'll read a story, try out traditional and nontraditional yoga poses, breathe deep, and groove to a song. Feel bring to bring your own yoga mat or beach towel to sit on. We'll be outdoors, if weather permits. After the storytime, we'll have time for free play with outdoor toys.

There will be crafters and vendors (including pottery, wood work, candles, handmade craft items, and businesses doing outreach) around three different parks along with free pumpkins for kids, a fall photo booth, pony rides, a petting zoo, food trucks, and we even have some re-enactors and demonstrators of live art.

This event is being held in conjunction with the Grand Ledge Fall Festival, so bring the family to Fall Fest, then walk to the Beer Fest and enjoy craft beer and cider on Fitzgerald Field (the ball field under the bridge). Food trucks will be in the parking lot.

Entrance to the field is behind the Masonic Temple across the parking lot from the Island entrance.

NO REFUNDS, but please feel free to give them to someone else.

Local businesses on both sides of Bridge Street and Bridge Street Plaza will be bustling with kids in costumes and their families throughout downtown Grand Ledge.

Stop by Bridge Street Plaza to visit with some of our Chamber members who don't have a storefront on Bridge Street but want to participate in this fun community event!

The Annual Night Lights Christmas Parade is a spectacular night time parade packed full of lots of lights and music! It starts at the Grand Ledge Fire Department at 500 North Clinton Street and then makes its way straight down Bridge Street to Scott Street. Santa always makes his appearance at the end of the parade, trading in his red sleigh for a red fire truck.

Chamber Events:

Get Warm by the Firepit in the Plaza
6:45 PM Tree Lighting in Bridge Street Plaza
7:00 PM Christmas Parade starts at the fire station and heads south on Bridge Street
After the parade, visit Santa at the Grand Ledge Opera House!

Elected Office Position: $100
