Lincoln Brick Park
Join us for an exciting and educational Salamander Survey at Lincoln Brick Park! This hands-on event is perfect for late elementary and early middle school students who are curious about nature and wildlife. Participants will learn about local salamander species, their habitats, and the vital role they play in our ecosystem. With the help of expert guides and local naturalists, we'll explore the area to search for salamanders and other amphibians, while gaining a deeper understanding of their behaviors, needs, and conservation efforts. This is a great opportunity to get outdoors, explore, and have fun while learning more about the fascinating world of amphibians!
We’ll have our Minecraft server set up and the laptops ready to go. No experience needed -- all levels of players/builders welcome.

Nearly 100 different objects of art, created by student artists of all ages from Grand Ledge Public Schools, will be on display throughout the library. Enjoy refreshments while you view all the fantastic creations. Artists’ works remain on display thru April 30.
Learn adult and pediatric CPR, automated external defibrillator (AED), emergency procedures like rescue breathing, and the Heimlich maneuver, and first aid. Upon workshop completion, students receive a course completion card in Adult and Pediatric CPR with AED and first aid. Class is blended learning online part is sent after registration for class. Registration required, class size limited. This class is not appropriate for those needing training for a healthcare field (doctors, dentists, nurses, EMS, etc.).
We’ll read a story, sing and rhyme together, do a fingerplay, and have fun while learning and playing. We’ll end with time for caregivers to socialize and babies to play & interact with each other.

Have some spring fun at our Glow-in-the-Dark Egg hunt. Bring the kids anytime between 6 pm and 8 pm to participate. Venture into the darkened Children's Department to find three eggs per child, then trade the eggs in for a small treat.
Learn emergency procedures, discipline techniques, diapering, age-appropriate activities, rescue breathing, the Heimlich maneuver, and basic first aid skills needed while babysitting. Upon workshop completion, students receive an American Red Cross babysitting course certificate. Class size limited. Participants bring a sack lunch, water bottle.
