Delta Community Choir will present “This Christmastide,” a winter concert where peace, love, and hope abide, on Sunday, December 10 at 3 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church & School, 7910 E. St. Joseph Highway, Lansing, MI 48917 in Delta Township.

Under the direction of Ellen McKenzie, and featuring accompanist Christy English and local guest instrumentalists, the concert promises to be a joyful affirmation of Delta Community Choir’s mission of “Building Community Through Song.” As part of that mission, the choir has raised more than $40,000 over the past 10 years in support of several local nonprofit organizations.

Details w/ costs:
“This year’s theme reflects our common and shared wishes and hopes for the precious gift that love brings, a time to put differences aside, and the sweet promise that you can always come home,” said McKenzie.

Song selections for the concert include The Christmas Wish, Crowded Table, Christmas 1915, First Cradle, This Christmastide, and 93 Million Miles.

Admission to the concert is free. However, the choir will accept freewill donations to benefit the Capital Area Diaper Bank. The diaper bank, which distributes hundreds of thousands of diapers each year to Michigan families, schools, and organizations that serve children,  families, refugees, the elderly, and the homeless, is housed within the Fretail Store at the Lansing Mall. The Diaper Bank is one facet of the mission of Cardboard Prophets, which was a 2023 nominee for Delta Township Organization of the Year.

Reservations are not required for the December 10 concert. For more information, call 517-627-6202 or visit https://deltacc.org.
