Participants 12+ will learn the basics of sketching still life subjects with a graphite pencil. The presenter will teach simple blocking and shading techniques to help participants understand drawing the subject in front of them. Registration is required to ensure adequate supplies. Each registered participant will be given their own small sketchbook and a 2B graphite pencil to keep, but are encouraged to bring their own sketching supplies if they own them. Non-registered attendees are welcome to sit in on the workshop to quietly sketch the subjects on display to practice their own more advanced skills.
