Dragon Boat Festival Splashes into Lansing this September to Support Women’s Center of Greater Lansing

The Women’s Center of Greater Lansing is thrilled to announce its upcoming Dragon Boat Races on Saturday, September 14, 2025, at Grand River Park. This exciting community event will bring together teams, vendors, and supporters for a day filled with tradition, competition, and fun—all to raise awareness and support the vital services provided by the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing.

The festival will feature dragon boat races, a vibrant lineup of local vendors, and a raffle. Guests are invited to cheer on the competing teams, shop from small businesses, and enjoy a festive atmosphere along the river.

“This event is more than just a race,” said Rebecca Kasen, Executive Director of the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing. “It’s a celebration of community, resilience, and the power of people coming together to support women in our region. Every cheer, every purchase, and every raffle ticket helps us continue our mission of empowering women to realize their potential.”

The Women’s Center of Greater Lansing is the beneficiary of the event. Funds raised will directly support programs such as mental health counseling, financial empowerment coaching, and workshops on domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking,
