Next weekend Oct. 11-13 is the 40th anniversary of the Color Cruise and Island Festival. Riverboat rides, Horse-drawn carriage rides and lots of fall festival fun!
There will be close to 70 different displays next weekend including painting, blacksmithing, broom making, yarn spinning, balloon twisting, bullet making, butter making, candle dipping, cider pressing, civil war re-enactments, glass blowing, fur traders, maple syrup, mining, painting pumpkins, rope making, rug twining, a model steam engine and nature center displays just to name a few!
Lots to eat from hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken wraps, sausage sandwiches, elephant ears, funnel cakes, kettle corn, root beer floats and apple pie.
Wednesday October 9th is our next monthly chamber meeting. Our featured speaker is Abraham Garcia from Workhorse Staffing Company. Make plans to join us at 9am in the community room of city hall at 310 Greenwood Street. Come learn something new and meet new people!
Bridge Street Trick or Treating is October 25th from 5:30-7pm. Businesses, the plaza and both sides of Bridge Street will be bustling with kids!
