Supporting businesses and the community in working together to make Grand Ledge
a great place to live and do business
Our annual dinner was last week with more than 90 people in attendance. Beth Augustine, the owner of Flour Child was awarded the Athena Award, Grand Ledge High School Teacher Amanda Hengesbach was voted teacher of the year and A&W Restaurant owner Keith Mulder is the Business Person of the Year. Thank you to all our supporters, attendees and the community for a great year. Kudos to the Woodwind Quintet from GLHS for providing our music for the evening. To view more photos from the event, please see our Facebook page.
Next weekend, May 4th is the opening of Market on the Grand. We have several vendors who have signed up for the entire season already. To sign up to be a vendor or learn more information, click here. See you all next Saturday from 9am-1pm in Jaycee Park!
There is a lot of activity at Jaycee Park and there is about to be a lot more! Performance Pavilion will break ground soon, construction has begun down by the boat launch for two new projects and the city was just awarded a grant for a sound garden in the park! Stay Tuned for all the happenings at this amazing community park venue on the city's webpage. Kids will be able to start splashing around again in about a month!
How many more Thursday's until Music in the Park you ask? SIX more until our Thursday June 6th summer series kicks off! Some of our headliners include Global Village, Starfarm, Root Doctor, Frog King, Three Men and a Tenor, Tell Yo Mama- just to name a few! Schedules will be printed soon!
