The Grand Ledge Opera House is excited to once again present the Beagle Holiday Carolers
and introduce the Beagle Bands Selected Ensembles as they present their holiday themed
concert on Tuesday December 10th at 7:00 p.m. The performance is sponsored by the Friends
of the Opera House and the Harlan and Betty MacDowell Concert Foundation.
The Beagle Holiday Carolers are an auditioned extra-curricular advanced choir from
Beagle Middle School in Grand Ledge, Michigan. This holiday ensemble is sharing sounds
of the season around the community, caroling through Grand Ledge schools and are
featured at the annual Beagle Middle School Choir Holiday Concert. Beagle Middle
School Choirs have a strong tradition of excellence, being one of the outstanding middle school
choirs in the state of Michigan. Beagle Choirs receive high Division 1 ratings at Choral Festival
consistently year after year. The choir is under the direction of Kristen Burton and accompanied
by Carmen Karkau.
Beagle Bands Selected Ensembles are advanced instrumental ensembles from Beagle Middle
School in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Beagle Middle School band musicians are known for their
commitment to excellence. These students are excited to join the Holiday Carolers to share
sounds of the season in this beautiful, intimate concert setting. Beagle Middle School Bands
consistently earn the highest ratings at Band Festivals and are under the direction of Tavia
Zerman.
The Grand Ledge Opera House will be decked out for Christmas and is located in downtown
Grand Ledge at the corner of Bridge and River Streets alongside the Grand River. It is a barrier
free facility. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, ages 5 and younger are free. Tickets are
available through our website at www.gloperahouse.com or at the door. Doors will open at
6:15 p.m.
The Opera House appreciates the community’s continued support. A portion of the concert
proceeds will benefit a selected Grand Ledge non-profit along with the historic Grand Ledge
Opera House.
