Generations of children and families have attended the Color Cruise and Island Festival for 40 years!
Join us this year as we mix it up and add more vendors, crafters and demonstrators and also celebrate the history and heritage of this family celebration in Island Park.
There will be more than 70 different displays including painting, blacksmithing, broom making, yarn spinning, balloon twisting, bullet making, butter making, candle dipping, cider pressing, civil war re-enactments, corn shelling, dream catchers, glass blowing, cookie decorating, fur traders, petting zoo, kettle corn, maple syrup, mining, painting pumpkins, canoes and kayaks to rent, rope making, rug twining, sauerkraut making, a model steam engine, nature center displays. Along with lots of fall games by several of our event sponsors!
If cruising down the Grand River strikes your fancy, the Grand Princess Riverboat will be taking passengers up and down the Grand River. A horse drawn carriage will also be strolling through town offering rides.
There will be lots to eat all weekend from hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken wraps, sausage sandwiches as well as tasty treats of elephant ears, funnel cakes and apple pie.
Entertainment by local community groups will be featured all weekend long!
