A Taste of Grand Ledge
Saturday, January 27

2:00 - 4:00 PM
Grand Ledge Opera House

The community is invited to attend the Caring Neighbor Foundation’s fundraiser for Blessings in a Backpack - Grand Ledge.

The event’s theme is “Super Heroes Day”. It is family-friendly with face painting, balloon twisting, a children’s table to draw and color, indoor games, a fun photo station, pizza, grinders, salad, fresh vegetable trays, and A&W root beer floats.

'Lansing Batman' and friends will be dropping by to say hello to all of his little super hero friends. Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Elsa & Anna, along with many others, are excited to attend.

The cost of this event is a ‘free will donation’ to participate in a taste of our generous restaurant and bakery owner’s food donations: Aggie Mae’s Bakery, A&W Restaurant, Beagle’s Café & Bakery, Crossroads BBQ, Log Jam, Cathy’s Bakery, Cugino’s Italian Restaurant, Flour Child Bakery, GL Biggby Coffee, Mancino’s Pizza & Grinders, Pancho’s food truck, Renee’s Cakes, and GL Opera House.

We wish to thank our sponsors who donated door prize and silent auction items: Caring Neighbor Foundation (event sponsor), Mark & Chris Beagle, MacDowell’s Flower Shop, Reno’s East, Profiles Hair Salon, and Sun Theatre.

Blessings in a Backpack - GL is a volunteer run, community-supported program that provides food to over 230 needy school children on the weekends during the school year. All of the proceeds from this event and your donations will go toward buying the food to feed these children in the Grand Ledge area. Donations are greatly appreciated. It costs approximately $120 per student for the school year. We have our program in nine schools in the Grand Ledge School District.

Please visit our websites for more information: blessingsinabackpackgl.org and caring-neighbor.com.

You can also mail your donation to Blessings in a Backpack - Grand Ledge, PO Box 162, Grand Ledge, MI 48837.

If you have any questions, please contact Christine Richardson-Beagle, Event Chair, at 517.983.2444 or 8crichardson@gmail.com.

Thank you to Caring Neighbor Foundation and Richard Currier for sponsoring this event.
